Established in 1971
The objectives of the club are as follows:
To encourage and promote the responsible breeding and care of purebred collies(both rough and smooth), and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. To urge members and breeders to accept the Standard of the Breed As approved by the American Kennel Club, as the only Standard of Excellence by which Collies-Rough and Smooth-shall be judged by.
To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanship like competition at dog shows, obedience trials, field trials and other competitive trials under the rules of American Kennel Club.
The Club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder of residue from dues or donations to the club shall be used to the benefit of any member or individual.
Over the years, SNCC has provided foster home care for Rescued Collies and placed those Collies in new homes after they were evaluated. We have placed several Collies that were in poor health or in a bad home environment. Provide home checks/evaluations for other rescue groups adopting out to a family in our area.
Club provides referrals to reputable breeders in the area and/or surrounding states.
